Lake George Area

Top of the World is situated in the 6 million acre Adirondack Park, the largest wilderness park in the lower 48 states. The lakes and streams are playgrounds for anglers and boating enthusiasts and the mountain trails provide opportunities to hike to small scenic summits, mountain biking and wildlife watching. Hop aboard a cruise on one of the Lake George Steamboats to take in the breathtaking views and vistas from the water.

The surrounding area also abounds in cultural and historical activities. The Adirondack Theatre Festival is hosted only minutes away in Glens Falls, along with the Adirondack Ballet Company and the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra. The Hyde Art Collection, one of the best known private art collections in the country is also housed in Glens Falls. Historic Fort William Henry is only minutes away. Free outdoor concerts and fireworks are held weekly in the summer at Shepherd Park in downtown Lake George, as well as craft fairs and festivals held throughout the season.

Quaint country stores, a vibrant downtown area and the Lake George outlets are only minutes away and excite even the most experienced shopper. Ask us about local information to complement your visit to Top of the World Resort.
